What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a blackish-brown semisolid mass, mostly consisting of a combination of low molecular weight organic compounds and paleohumus, naturally exuding from steep rocks in many mountain ranges particularly in Himalayan and Hindukush ranges of Indian Subcontinent.
